Club Champions 2025

2025 Club Champions

REIGNING men’s champion Ian Humphray  landed two key trophies in one afternoon when Inkberrow Bowls Club staged its annual finals weekend.

He beat John Bradley 23-4 to retain his men’s singles title. Then later in the same afternoon, he outplayed Andy Merrick by 21-13 to help take the Presidents Cup (mixed singles trophy).

That deprived Andy of a third successive victory in that competition.

But Ian wasn’t finished. The following day, he teamed up with Liz Yeates and Michael Chappell to beat Richard Roberts, Geri Slater and Andy in the mixed triples final.

Earlier, Liz had taken the ladies’ singles title for a second successive year with Kay Merrick in second place.

Other winners were: Mixed pairs, Andy and Kay Merrick. Runners-up Geri and Alan Slater.

The trophy for new bowlers went to Judith Marston, with Tony Perryman runner-up.

A pairs competition award for all club members went to Angela Webster and Liz Yeates, giving Liz her fourth honour of the season.
